Akro Awake
Awake by Akro is a citrus gourmand fragrance for women and men - the coffee vice in Olivier Cresp's line of addictions, inspired by the Bluebells Café on Portobello Road on a cold morning. Italian lemon cuts through freshly ground Santos coffee, green cardamom adds the steam and the spice, and Haitian vetiver dries it down to something closer to a cup than a dessert. "Bitter, hot and just ground - coffee the way it smells before the milk goes in."

Akro was founded by master perfumer Olivier Cresp - the nose behind Angel and Light Blue - and his daughter Anaïs Cresp, and launched in 2018 from London with a Parisian eye. The idea is simple and a little provocative: every fragrance is built on an addiction or a vice, made for people who do not like to say no.
Each scent takes one indulgence and renders it as realistically as perfumery allows - coffee, chocolate, whisky, tobacco, tattoo ink - then cuts it with citrus, spice or wood so it wears like a fragrance rather than a novelty. Awake, the house's coffee, is built on freshly ground Santos coffee, green cardamom, Italian lemon and Haitian vetiver.
These are fragrances to wear when you want to smell like something you love, not like a perfume counter. Designed in London, composed by one of France's most celebrated perfumers.
