Touche Finale by Jovoy Paris is a powdery floral fragrance for women and men - Vanina Muracciole's 2019 reworking of Jovoy's own Poudré, written for the ritual of getting ready, the slow dressing, the makeup and rice powder, and the perfume that comes last. Mimosa and pink berries open it, rose, jasmine, violet leaf and cedar form a soft lipstick heart, and creamy heliotrope, white musk and sandalwood finish it like face powder with a touch of almond. Jovoy Paris began in 1923 with Blanche Arvoy, whose nickname Jo and married name gave the house its own - a handful of perfumes in animal-shaped bottles before it fell quiet in the 1930s. François Hénin revived the name in 2006, after years distilling essential oils in Vietnam and working near Grasse, and turned it into both a perfume house and the boutique on rue de Castiglione that calls itself the embassy of rare perfumes.
The house writes its own fragrances with independent perfumers and builds each around a story or a meeting rather than a trend. Touche Finale is Vanina Muracciole's 2019 reworking of Jovoy's own Poudré from 2006 - mimosa, violet leaf and rose over creamy heliotrope and white musk, a perfume for the ritual of getting ready.
