Smell Good Together: 5 His and Hers Perfume Pairs for Work
- , by Shushanik
- 4 min reading time
Five his and hers perfume pairs for the office, each built on one dry shared note, from leather and vetiver to neroli. Close to the skin, not in the room.
At work, nobody should notice your perfume. Only you.
The rule of the series stays the same: two different perfumes, one note in common. She wears one, he wears the other, and nobody at the table can tell where it starts.
Part one was Everyday Signature. This is part two: Work & Presence, five pairs for the office.
Stays close
At work a scent has to hold a meeting table, not fill the floor. So these pairs share the dry notes: leather, vetiver, sandalwood, nutmeg, and one neroli that stays on the skin.
Five pairs for the office
Every perfume here is in our Work & Presence collection, and every one comes as a sample, so you can try both sides of a pair.
1. One leather. Two tempers.
Shared note: leather. Juniper and clary sage on both, cedar underneath. Suede on her, leather on him. Smells like a good coat that has been outside.
Hers: French Leather, Memo Paris. Lime, pink pepper, juniper berry and bergamot, then rose, clary sage and hay over suede and cedarwood. Shop French Leather
His: Irish Leather, Memo Paris. Juniper berry, pepper and mandarin, then mate, iris and clary sage over leather, cedarwood and vetiver. Shop Irish Leather
2. Vetiver, worn by two
Shared note: vetiver. Vetiver on both. Her iris keeps it soft, his ambroxan makes it carry. Sleeves rolled, window open, the grass cut outside.
Hers: Amyris Femme, Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Lemon blossom and California orange, then amyris and iris over vetiver, musk and amber. Shop Amyris Femme
His: Bois Impérial, Essential Parfums. Basil and timur pepper, then akigalawood over vetiver, ambroxan and patchouli. Shop Bois Impérial
3. Sandalwood, shared
Shared note: sandalwood. Her magnolia, his lavender and cedar, over the same creamy sandalwood. A cashmere sweater somebody else wore first.
Hers: Eccelso, Profumum Roma. Sandalwood, musk, magnolia, nutmeg, patchouli, bergamot and labdanum. Shop Eccelso
His: Rehab, Initio Parfums Privés. Lavender, then cedar and sandalwood over patchouli and musk. Shop Rehab
4. Nutmeg and cold air
Shared note: nutmeg. Coriander and nutmeg on both. Her juniper, his lime and leather. The walk to the office, spice under the collar.
Hers: Gentle Fluidity Silver, Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Juniper, coriander and nutmeg over a woody-musky accord and amber. Shop Gentle Fluidity Silver
His: Timeless, Clive Christian. Lime, bitter orange and ginger, then mint, lavender, coriander and nutmeg over vetiver, musk, amber and leather. Shop Timeless
5. Neroli. No noise.
Shared note: neroli. Neroli and sandalwood on both. Her tea leaf stays dry, his tonka goes creamy. Two chairs pulled up to one screen.
Hers: Nº 1, Rosendo Mateu. Bergamot, tea leaf and sandalwood, three notes and nothing loud. Shop Nº 1
His: Reflection 45 Man, Amouage. Aromatic herbs and citrus, then neroli, jasmine and spices over sandalwood, vetiver and ambergris. Shop Reflection 45 Man
Watch the pair
The reel above follows the neroli pair: Nº 1 for her, Reflection 45 Man for him. Sandalwood under both. On the skin, not in the room.

The short version

- Five pairs, all on the store, all available as samples.
- Next in the series: Evening & Seduction.
Questions we hear
What makes a perfume right for the office?
It stays close. Dry notes such as vetiver, leather, sandalwood and nutmeg sit near the skin instead of filling the room.
Can we wear perfume from the same house?
Yes. French Leather and Irish Leather are both Memo Paris and share juniper, clary sage and cedar; suede on hers and leather on his keep them apart.
How much should I spray for work?
Less than for the evening. Our spray maps for her and for him show where.
